If you want a VB like Palm development environment ... how about considering
VB itself?

If you already own VB, then there is an Visual Studio plugin from a company
called AppForge (see www.appforge.com ) that lets you develop drag and drop
code for the Palm just like you would for the PC, letting you fill in the
control functions, etc just like you would for the PC.

OK, I am not a VB fan (sorry, I am a "C" bigot), but the demo I saw of this
at Comdex on Monday was impressive.

There are a couple of issues though :
1. A 300k runtime library needs to be installed on the Palm.
2. No IR support (in this version).
3. No wireless support (in this version).
4. At $299 for a preorder or close to $500 after that, on top of your MS VB
(6.0) investment - it works out expensive for the casual developer.

Despite my perceived shortcomings, the girl doing the demo was able to put
together a running app that had text entry, signature/graphic capture, and
buttons that "did something" in a couple of minutes while we were talking.

Might be worth considering ...
