Speaking from experience, I can tell you that it works, it is not fast, and it is very
battery sensitive. Most analog cell phones
do not have built in modems, and do not directly support connecting a modem. You will
need an appropriate palm modem, and a dial
tone simulator (we use something called a tellular). Each item (the palm, the modem
and the tellular have thier own batteries and
you cannot get easy access to the battery status' on anything but the palm, and then
only for the palm itself...
