Yes, but.
1. The phones may need some kind of adaptor - I know they exist.
Basically a phone to RJ11(?) connector so you can plug a fax machine
or a palm with modem into the wireless phone.
2. Analog Cellular is bandwidth limited so if you get 720 bps you are
doing good. But for things like "clippings" it should work well.
Downloading 250K maps would be another story.
3. There is a tiny gap when you switch cells. Most protocols (you
will probably use PPP) have a retry mechanism, but you will be slowed
down by the occasional hiccups, or you would need to enable the MNP-10
mode in the modem if its available. (if you are a HDK member, the
plugged in section has the AT command reference which should have this
info).
