Then Rus hit the nail on the head!  You should create a Bitmap Family, add
your color bitmap to it, and set the bit depth to 8.  It will then be
displayed in color on color devices (if the bit depth of the device can
handle color).  On your form bitmap, refer to the id of the bitmap family,
not to the id of the bitmap itself.
