What platforms are you familiar with that support 3-bit color? I've never heard of any (the implication of which being that the Palm doesn't support 3-bit color). If you ever need to find out what bit depths are supported on any device, you can find out by calling WinScreenMode (which, I believe, was added in Palm OS 3.0). -- Keith Rollin -- Palm OS Emulator engineer rachel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> on 01/07/2001 07:46:25 PM Please respond to "Palm Developer Forum" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent by: rachel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Palm Developer Forum" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> cc: (Keith Rollin/US/PALM) Subject: 2 or 3-bit color support for Palm III and V? Hi, I'm new to the forum. I've searched the Palm database, but am having trouble finding results that provide me with a straight-forward answer (in lay-person terms) to my question. Could someone please tell me: What image format is supported by the Palm III and V? Is 2-bit color only supported by both, or can 3-bit color be used? If 3-bit color can only be used for the newer Palm, is there a script that is safe to use which can choose the image format (if both are loaded) that is supported by a the Palm version being used? Or is it safest just to design using 2-bit color? Thanks! Rachel -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/
