There is no glue library version of this function that I can see in the Palm
SDKs.
However, why not make 3.1 your minimum version? Any handheld with 3.0 also
has flash memory, so it can be upgraded to 3.3 for free, or 3.5 for pay.
3.1 is the only common 3.x OS version which exists on many non-upgradable
units.
