One of the reasons i changed to 3.5 was it seemed to be a taking a step
towards conforming the syntax and api calls. Surely it is wise to adopt
these new changes sooner rather than later when there are only a few to
learn, implement and debug.

As newer versions of PalmOS come out surely it will be easier to change from
say 3.5 than 3.1.

Even though im only a new developer i have been converting tutorials written
in 3.1 to 3.5 with very few problems, most of those being nothing to do with
PalmOS 3.5.
