I think I got it:

Open Ir comunications via IR library
Use FileRead to create a buffer the size of IrMaxTxSize
Copy this buffer to a IrPacket structure
Send the packet via IrDataReq

Now the fun part... getting this to work!

Does this sound right or is there a better way?
