I think the response is correct.  Anyone who refers to flash RAM as ROM
should be corrected.  This is a technical industry and correctness in
terminology is very important.

I think the main point that should be made here is that developers should
not be writing anything to flash RAM.  That is something which is a user
choice, and can only be done with specialized utilities.  Some of those
utils include an API that other apps can use, but at all times the user
initiates the process.
