The only thing that I can think of that _might_ explain the behavior you're
seeing is not setting the socket.name field. When beaming from one Palm to
another, if you set the socket.target field, there is no need to set the
socket.name field. However, when beaming from a Palm to a PC, the name field
must be set. This field should contain the filename - something like
"foo.pdb".

What versions of Palm OS have you tried? What devices have you tried? If the
problem only occurs in Palm OS 4.0, please let me know ASAP!

As a sanity check, try removing the ExgDB calls, and just write some fixed
data. Once you get beaming working, you can switch back to using the ExgDB
calls to fill in the real database contents.
