I had the same problem and for now I solved it with pdbmake that can You
download on http://www.fourmilab.com/palm/pdbmake/ with source code, which
is suitable for common (text) data, and width JFile Convertor, for
databases, because this format is pretty clean and useful.

Can anyone kindly tell me how to create a .pdb file? I download the "Palm
File Format Specification" documentation file, it only tells me .pdb (and
.prc, .pqa) format, but does not tell me how to create one and what tool I
need to use.
I am using MAC and CodeWarrior and C.
Without knowing how to create .pdb file, I can not start my first project.
