I've resisted mentioning this, for fear of sounding like I'm
gratuitously plugging our book, but in Advanced Palm Programming we
have a working Progress Manager example, with a detailed explanation,
plus a description, with full source code, of an alternate method of
doing progress dialogs that seems to work better in synchronous
situations.
