Symbol (www.symbol.com) produces Palm OS devices with integrated scanners.
One is called the SPT 1500. The SPT 1700 series is a rugged version, and
most of them have wireless network connectivity also (802.11 or 802.11b).
Their products are high quality, and we've had great success with them.
Symbol's web site is poorly organized and lacks some key information, so if
you want to know more let me know, or check out the symbol-forum mailing
list (another Palm developer list like this one).
I think there is also a HandSpring bar code scanner module.
