I also suspect that the problem hangs around in the database.
I've got an app that opens the database but, if shut down
immediately, doesn't even query a record which still displays
this message on close.  I don't know if PalmOS clears this lock
or whether it remains cached somewhere in the database
control area.  Of course it could be a stray corruption messing
with the database control area.
