Yes,there is VAME(Visual Age Micro Edition)
for Palm OS,,but i'm not sure if a lot of people
are using it for production level code..:-))

It comes with a subset of the class library support
that Java has on desktop's.Essentially wraps all
the C ApI's and structures of Palm SDK within classes.

So most naturally i would be forced to think that this
extra level of indirection would come at the cost
of space(Java Run Time for Palm takes 200K,,if i
remember correctly)and efficiency....
