I'm with you, Richard.  Making seeding programs, debug and seeding ROMs,
and newsletter fee based would be truly detrimental.  Particularly the
seeding programs and the ROMs have to be available for us to do remotely
viable business - at least if Palm wants us to actually write quality
software for their stuff.  Through it all, Palm has tried to bill
outside developers as an extension of their company and contributor to
their success - and they rightly should because the fact that there are
so many third party apps, add-ons, and tools for Palm OS devices is a
positive selling point for Palm.  I'd certainly hope that Palm wouldn't
even *want* to do anything to make that process more difficult.

Yikes!  Please don't suggest that we start paying for even more things
that
are now free.  As you can see from all of the concerned posts today
about
the (misguided) fear that this forum is about to disappear, this is
clearly
the wrong direction.
