Kevin Cooper from Palm Developer Tools helped me get back in operational
order....
He explained that a bug in version 1.6b2 would corrupt the ObjectID when
doing draging on the hierarchy window. And this may have happened...
His suggestion was to avoid using the hierarchy to edit the ObjecIDs. Use
the Form editor instead.
But, before you can do this successfully, you have to first remove any form
bitmap objects from the form. Save the form with renumbered elements (sans
bit maps). Close. Reopen. Add back in the bitmaps and save.
All fixed. A bit mysterious. A whole lot annoying. But he did have the
answer and was quite helpful.
