It works as you would expect. I've done this for the conduit that Aileron
uses (http://www.corsoft.net/ail4palm.asp) and am able to swap in a
replacement backup conduit (that does nothing except answer the hotsync
manager querries, but no backups!) at will to avoid the backup conduit
operations.
