Does the ROM (version 3.2.5) on a VIIx support 4-bits per pixel grey scale?
I'm seeing this on a Palm VII, and I don't quite know how to handle it. I
have a choice, hinging on how well the 3.2.5 stands up to 3.3 in the grey
scale arena.
Let me be more specific:
on OS 3.3, I can create and copy 4 and 16 color grey scale images from off
screen to on screen. The 3.1 ROM does not allow this (it flakes out if the
default screen depth and the offcreen window are not the same depth, not just
the current screen depth and the offscreen window are differing depths).
WinCopyRectangle is the call in question.
Since I'm skirting the edge of segmenting the app, I would really like for
some to tell me truthfully that it does support greyscale as well as the 3.3
ROM :-)

PS. I've handled it for 2 bits and OS below 3.3, I could change the code to
less than 3.2.5 if needed, or hack the bit copying to work for 2 or 4 bits...
...guess which one is smaller :-)
