LOL. I knew that you guys would ask why I was
wondering. Here are my reasons:

1) Palm has traditionally adopted the extra API that
other vendors come up with, such as 16-bit color from
Handspring, Memory Stick (I mean that in the generic
sense) from Sony, etc. and put them in the next OS.
Whether Palm developed these APIs for other vendors is
besides the point. I was wondering if the new HandEra
APIs for a virtual graffiti area and the different
screne size will be adopted into the Palm branded OS.
I like to stick with one set of header files to keep
things simple.

2) I'm wondering if there will be better access to
programs on the memory card, like the MSMount program
that is out there.

3) I'm just plain curious.

Also, are there any plans of making Palm OS 4.0
available for older machines? I'm very interested in
the better security (auto lock, and masked recoreds
remain masked) and better alarm management. I also
hear rumors that a bug with Palm Portable Keyboard is
fixed in Palm OS 4.0
(http://www.escribe.com/computing/pcpqa/m38988.html).

Thanks,

Mike McCollister
