DirectBits Linker Error

[CBrindis]

I have pasted an 8-bit bmp into Constructor 1.6, and during compilation, get this 
error:

"Unexpected Linker Error # 32:  DirectBits not supported. Compilation Stopped"

What is meant by DirectBits?  How can I fix things so the compile goes smoothly?

Where can I read about error # 32?
