Which is fine, as long as you don't mind carrying around the memory
baggage of two bitmaps. For some apps this is cool... for others, this
could add significantly to the size of the always-in-memory program
image, while my technique only affects memory usage while the program is
running.
Tradeoffs everywhere! :)
