I have never seen a charging problem like that on any of the Symbol 17xx.
Have you tried contacting Symbol support in case you have a bad 1700? Does
it still happen after you do a hard reset? I couldn't even begin to guess
if your code is doing it since you didn't post any or describe your
application at all.
