The InstallShield v5.x examples that came with the CDK will work on v6.x
with just a little tweaking.  If I remember correctly, the IS compiler will
show you which header includes will need to be changed or added.  IMHO the
biggest problem is just learning how to use IS.  If you've ever used VB or
C, the scripts should be a piece of cake.
I don't know what the limitations are for the free version.  But if it won't
make DLL calls, you out of luck.  Contact InstallShield and ask them what's
crippled.
