I think the more important question is how CPU intensive is
SysTicksPerSecond? In other words, is it something that is calculated every
time or is it something that is looked up in the hardware? If I expect to
have to use this value a lot, should I check it once at the beginning of my
application and store the value or can I just call it every time I need it.
(Obviously the prior is safer, but if it is already stored somewhere else,
that's wasted memory..)
