Given that MP3's appear 5 dozen times in the archives 
(http://www.escribe.com/computing/pcpqa/search.html?query=mp3), a 
summation of what you've tried already seems appropriate as part of 
your query.

I think the quickest way to code what you've asked about would be to 
use POSER's HostControl.h to read and parse the MP3 (resident on the 
desktop host), then write a file stream on the emulated device, then 
export that new database back to the desktop (again using 
HostControl.h).  But perhaps you've tried this already?
