I would like some answers to my questions...
I'm a HighSchool student doing some programming work for a small
company. I just finised a win32 program that did some i/o with an
rs232 device using borland c++ code builder. My boss wants me to
look into doing the same thing except with a palm device. I got some
adapters from radioshack and know that i can see the rs232 devices
output because i used the the companies demo program for palm and
have its source code.
I am new to Palm OS programming is this the right forum for a
beginner or is there a better one and if so could someone redirect me
there?
Second, i downloaded alot of stuff from the palmos site including skd
4.0 prc-tools- cygwin- sdk tools and the palm emulator. I also have
an older copy of codewarrior ver 5. However, when i try to open the
debug console through cw/palm/open debug console it says palm device
is not in console mode. I thought i entered it in console mode by
entering in grafiti like a lowercase i followed by a period then a
numeric 2. But cw still prompts me to put the palm in console mode.
Can someone help me?
Third, is my developement tool capable of developing for palm or do i
need codewarrior for palm os. I am used to an ide program so i do
not believe prc-tools is the best choice for me. Perhaps my errors
are in the tools or maybe cw target settings?
