Leaving the other issues and answers aside, I'd like to point out 
that C libraries typically implement time as a *signed* value from 
1/1/70.  This is very similar in range to Palm's (and Apple's) using 
an *unsigned* value from 1/1/04.  So I doesn't really get you to the 
22nd century.
