Thanks very much Mike. Those are exactly the details I was looking for - I get
it now ! And its a nice little utility too - ironically one of the reasons I
was
writing HACKS was to develop exactly that functionality because I couldnt find
an app launcher I really liked out on the net. So that's also saved me one job
at least !
I originally debugged some none-trap code of mine and watched the events as
they arrived in
my Event Loop. But I only saw nilevent, pendown, penup and keydown. So
presumably those are actually the RESULT of the OS calling
EvtProcessSoftKeystroke at some stage,
and its decided they need to be translated into those events which it passes
onto
my app as the above events ? My app certainly never calls
EvtProcessSoftKeystroke, but your code
works fine with it (of course) - so this must be right ?
I cant see what you're doing with all the VGA calls - there doesnt seem to be
source and they're not Palm system routines ? But as far as I can see once you
know the coords of the silkscreen buttons on the Pilot I shouldnt need any of
that (whatever its purpose ?) because the buttons wont ever move ?
many thanks again for the assistance ...
Colin.
(McRazor is quite bizzarre indeed !!!)
