Actiually I was able to reproduce both praveen and Gavins's results. When I use default proxy with Palm VII rom,. I get inet1410 error
When I use a new proxy address: 206.112.114.83 (see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/webclipping/ for more information) I get "Server Busy". In my case ServerBusy is because I am behind a firewall, that doesn't allow direct connection to Palm proxy. For praveen it might work. Just check your proxy. I used the built-in clipping apps (ie ABCNEWS) - and they worked just fine. Does ABCNEWS work for you? I'm getting a "server busy" error with iMessenger though. Not being a Palm VII guru I'm not sure if that's a valid response for a POSE session or not... Can you get the webclipping apps to work? Since you are playing around with iMessenger hence I assume that you would like to work on wireless network. From the description of the problem it seems that you are sitting behind a proxy. You need to have a static IP in order to emulate wireless applications. Make sure you have the right proxy settings (see Prefs->Wireless), you can get more information the proxy's IP address and the various error codes from www.palmos.com Khurram+ ----- Original Message ----- From: "praveen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Palm Developer Forum" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, December 03, 2001 10:45 AM Subject: RE: connecting to net > i have done that before but i still got the same error. > it says your hand held could not connect to server( inet1410) > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Gavin > Maxwell > Sent: Monday, December 03, 2001 10:39 AM > To: Palm Developer Forum > Subject: RE: connecting to net > > > Right click in POSE window, Settings, Properties > > Ensure "Redirect NetLib calls to host TCP/IP" is selected > > Gavin. > > -----Original Message----- > From: praveen [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Monday, 3 December 2001 3:54 PM > To: Palm Developer Forum > Subject: connecting to net > > > hi all.. > i am new to palm os.. > i am using palmos emulator and palm VII rom image.. > how to connect my emulator to internet ..what are the settings i have to > make. > i have to connect to net through our server(my system is not connected to > net directly).. > help me out.. > > when i use imessenger it gives an error saying unable to connect to net.how > to overcome this. > > > -- > For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, > please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/ > > -- > For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, > please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/ > > > -- > For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/ > -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/ -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/ -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/ -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/ -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/ -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/
