well when I want to lock out my plam I simply take the batteries out...

For "Palm" security you could do the following: ( I am just rapping off the
top of my head; never tried any of this (its all palm-wrong) )

-register for hotsync start and/or beam receive start then kill it before it
starts
-then never allow your app to quit
-also trap every event...all of them. only allow your app to process them.
Then take the events behind the CPU and shoot them to prevent them from
telling other apps what your app is doing. Complete event management is the
one true way.

Remember, all of this is moot if the user does a hard reset. If your client
doesn't realize this then perhaps they are in the wrong solution space...?
Perhaps a bit paranoid...?
