Have a look at pilot-link. I'm working on the 0.10.1 release as I write
this. Assuming you want your conduits to be Open Source, there's a
wealth of tools out there to help. pilot-link will get you most of the
way there. If you want to keep your conduits closed, you'll have to
write the conduits and connecting interfaces on your own.
