I really understand your complaint, and it's been one of mine for quite
some time. There is, actually a conduit SDK'ish doc in the cvs, if you
look for ./doc/syncabs.sgml, a good chunk is there.
Much of the missing elements have been my major complaint in the last
few months, and it's been on the TODO list for that long. Either I spend
time writing docs, or I spent time coding, testing, and readying for
releases. I've put the call out for people to help, but only a handful
have come back (and have been incredibly good at that!). If nobody else
gets to it, I certainly will. I've resigned my job at Linuxcare, and am
going to be moving to RI from CA in a week or two. Things are a bit...
"busy" recently, and this holida thing didn't make it any more
productive.. =)
The current codebase is undergoing a pretty heavy metamorphosis to
support some other features that, in the past, were not planned in the
original design of pilot-link. You can see my repeated efforts to gather
help at the list going back a couple of years:

http://hcirisc.cs.binghamton.edu/pipermail/pilot-unix/2001-November/004708.html
[...] and so on
It's been on my TODO (including missing manpages):

I think the one you were referring to was at orbitz.com, and has long
since disappeared. I unfortunately do not have a copy, but I could put
out my feelers, and find someone with a mirror and put it up. Here's a
few others:

Right now, my goals are to get the 0.10.1 release out, clean up the
HOWTO docs (convert the existing ones to SGML) under
http://pilot-link.org/howto, finish up the USB code in the
protocol-rewrite-branch, and then wrap the SDK around the code. There's
a lot of deprecated conduits in there that need updating (money2qif,
pilot-mail [deprecated by pilot-mailsync], read-ical, etc.), so that's
happening. If anyone has spare cycles and can help on any open issues,
hit me privately in email.

Thank you for helping out. It's motivation like that which keeps me
going and working day by day and sticking new things in there that
people can find useful.
