Douglas and Hal, I appreciate your response. I know it takes time to read these messages and then reply, so I really do appreciate it.
We have Symbol 1740 units but we're torn between using our own equipment or the client's. We're really early in the investigation phase of this project so we're looking at all options. I think using our own units is best. I also think that using a wireless solution may be best for the amount of data we're talking about. However, wireless has it's technical problems (access point installations, servers, etc). It may be the faster but it may be more difficult to support. I will certainly pass the memory expansion card idea along. I'm looking for all ideas we can thrown in the hat at this point. Thanks again! It says: " We have the capability to use Symbol 1740 devices ..." and I read that to mean they *do* have 1740's, but it didn't say that.
