According to the documentation, FrmGetObjectIndex ...
"Returns the index of the specified object (the index of the first object is
0), or frmInvalidObjectId if the supplied object ID is invalid."

Works great. Except that, in POSE (3.4, not sure about others), anytime the
Object corresponding to the requested ID isn't on the form, I get an
annoying message: "MyApp (x.x) called SysFatalAlert with the message "Form.c
line xxxx, Object not in form." The line number varies with the Palm OS
version I'm running (of course!).

OK, so I can see possibly providing an alert message for that situation.
But, even with ALL the Debug settings turned off I still get the alert
message.

This is really irritating, because the purpose of the code executing the
FrmGetObjectIndex is to determine whether or not specific objects have
already been dynamically added to the form. If it doesn't exist on the
form, I then add it.

If I tap "Continue" on the alert box, the execution continues as expected.
However, if I tap "Debug" to check out my application trace stack, then
"Run", I get another error "MyApp (x.x) just executed an illegal or unknown
machine instruction. The instruction executed was 0xA0AD." After that
happens, I can't continue and have to "Kill" and restart. Not a fun time.

Any suggestions?

Regards,

Terry
