I have a problem with some installations with HandSpring on a Visor PRO (16 MEG) + CSM150 (Barcode Symbol SpringBoard Module) + VisorPhone (other SpringBoard).
I don't know if there is a problem for the module handspring, maybe could be for the large database I use. The problem: some times, users must do a reset, due to some insertion of springboard module (it's a known HandSpring problem and it's not a large problem, because users are out of all applications). On some devices, the problem is solved by pressing the button for resetting. On some other devices the reset doesn't reset, because: 1. Some users see Palm Computing Platform Logo with a blinking cursor (seems Debug reset). 2. Some users see a blinking Palm Computing Platform Logo (seems like an application catch the reset notify badly). I try to make all reset I know (normal reset, Up and reset (no notify to application), Hard reset (with no "clean all")). At the end I have to make a Hard Reset. Obviously I need to reinstall all with HotSync (they use our FTP batch Sync application) and it's a very large problem because all the unit have to return to central site. I'm trying to reproduce this behaviour but it's very difficult. Seems that the reset occurs when I make something on the device... I have to discover if there is some problem with my software or with some other application... Someone has experimented the same problem with some hardware or in conjuction with some "strange" software or in some strange "bug", or in record number > 16k (I've already changed my QuickSort with InsertionSort)?
