And another question, Heather I Tried upgrading the codeworrior 6.0 with the 6.1 update file from the metrowerks site, but when the installer begins it gives me a messege that it couldn't detect a codeworrior 6.0 installation on my computer. what should i do ?

If you purchased the renewal product and tried to install that, it should have been very clear that that product would only allow an upgrade from version 7 (not from 6).
