If you use pilrc 2.9p5 and BITMAPFAMILYEX, you will be able to create bitmap families containing HD bitmaps. You can use POSEr (modified by Sony) to see at what it looks like.
You need the SDK (and CW) only if you want to write specific code, which you does probably not need to if you simply want to use nice bitmaps in HD... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Regis NICOLAS - Engineering Director, Montpellier Site Palm Computing Europe, a PalmSource, Inc. subsidiary When the finger points to the sky, the idiot looks at the finger. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, June 05, 2002 6:52 PM To: Palm Developer Forum Subject: Re: Larger Displays like on Clie I am using PRC-Tools as well as pilrc. I'd prefer to stick with that, if I can make my applications take advantage of the higher screen resolutions. The only problem I'd have (I think) is having a WYSIWIG that I have with my current system. But I guess I could live with that, if I have to. So, let me backtrack a bit. If I were to get the Sony SCKs for the Clie, can they be made to work with PRC-Tools? The Sony site recommends Code Warrior. That is the only reason I was considering that. I never really liked Code Warrior and PRC-Tools and GCC have always worked well. I'm just not sure how to deal with the higher resolution screens and take advantage of that extra resolution. I do realize that apps are loaded correctly even if not taking advantage of the higher resolution but I think the images (for my controls) would look better if they were higer resolution.
