After looking more in the OS sources, I am not sure if the OS really blocks that. Since I can remember this was a problem, I have to assume that it has been fixed at some point.
I will talk to Renaud about removing the error (should we still output a warning ?). We should post a patch before the end of the week to you Aaron.
