Hi all,

I am newbie in Palm developing and it is
the reason why I come to you.
I have a couple of questions for you.

In my familial company, we would like to develop a software for
palmOS.. But before doing it, we want to be sure that our Development
Tool
is well adapted to our needs.

We have created a software made
in PHP/Perl and installed on a Linux/Apache
server. Data such as client information
are stored in a MySQL database on this
intranet server (in distributed centres).

We would like to help our clients adding or
updating their database information by
developing a Palm API.
The idea is that the client could enter
new data via his PDA.
Then, he would synchronize
his PDA with the centralized MySQL database located on the
intranet web server.

I would like to know which software
(CodeWarrior Enterprise Edition, AppForge...)
could be able to perform this task ?
An easy application (RAD) is recommended as I'm not an expert.

Ideally, the synchronization would be done directly on the server
(Linux).
Is it possible to do so ?

The second solution would be the synchronization
between PDA and the desktop computer of the
client (Windows OS). Then exportation of
these data to the Linux Web Server (MySQL database).

A RAD system seems to fit my problem considerations but I just want
to be sure it's not too difficult to bring something out the spot.

Please let me know.

Waiting your response,

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

Dimitri GONZALEZ
