A friend of mine remarked a while back, he is a videographer, that it would be nice if he could attach a Palm to his digital videocamera and then use it to mark points of interest while filming. the palm would retreive the timecode, tape position, etc and record it into some format that you could then sync to the desktop for use when editing on his mac.
i believe he still uses pen and paper to track points of interest or worse, fast forwards through the entire tape to find various scenes. don't know if this exists, haven't looked, just floating it out there.
