Hi, all. My company is converting me into a Palm app developer. They
already are specing out some new development. I've been learning C++,
and our current Palm apps are written in C++. So, I would like to
stick with that language for development. However, I'm having a tough
time with the Palm APIs. I've been trying to just go through the _Palm
OS Companion_ in conjunction with the _Palm OS Reference_. However,
the Companion does not give any depth to explaining the APIs. I've
been trying to write a simple app on my own that accepts information
into a couple of fields and stores it into a database. Later when you
come back, it retrieves that info and displays it. The user can then
change the data. I can't even figure out how to read/write data from a
database. So, I need some Palm training. I've looked at the classes
offered by Palm and Sun, but they focus strictly on C development.
I've also seen some books on Amazon, like _Palm OS Programming: The
Developer's Guide, 2nd Edition_. Does anyone have some good
suggestions on what helped them get started? Thank you for any help.

Robert
