Yes, I did it and it works. Using answer to question 3, I had to send a 
LaunchCode to the datebook application to perform a rescan of the 
datebook database. But I think solution 1 is the much smarter approach 
because it will even work if Palm change the datebook application. So I 
will change my code soon.
