FWIW, Handango does require this, but I don't think Palmgear does, nor
do most of the other Palm Aggregator sites I've looked at.

I think Handango is the only site that has explicitly come out and tried
to demand things like this in the contract, in addition to having what I
think is an excessive fee, and taking a long time to pay the author.  

But, it's a free 'net.  I've voted with my feet.  You won't find my
software there.
