Well, the below was almost correct, but the site now works.  For the record,
Palm was responsive, got their act together and got things fixed up.

As an FYI to the rest of the list... apparently one of our vendor's 
secure server was down when this was happening, and (I'm light on 
details here; don't shoot the messenger) it directed him to an 
insecure one but wouldn't allow the transaction to happen due to the 
insecurity.  If he had logged out and back in, it would allegedly 
have worked.

As for the other gripes about the program: it gets good results for 
folks who have technical problems that need prompt help from 
PalmSource.  If that's not what you're looking for, and neither are 
the additional bits it provides, then, well, that's that!
