Hi, everyone, I want to get some idea on how to implement the following application:
I have a Kyocera smartphone running Palm OS3.5 talking to an instrument at a remote location. Most of the time the smartphone is running some other applications, when the instrument finds something wrong, it will dial the smartphone number, the smartphone should switch over to my application to show the all the status of the instrument. I have some idea like running the serial port in the background and when it gets the right message (??) it calls SysUIAppSwitch( ) to switch to my application, but I still could not piece them all together. First of all am I on the right track? What is the pitfall I should be aware of? Exactly what kind of message I should check to wake up my application?
