Thanks Mark,

I received the source code and will create a new module in the osx-palm-tools CVS asap. I have mixed feelings about using ObjC to develop on the Palm. I love Objective-C's messaging system, garbage collection and all around effectiveness but I'm not sure whether an ObjC runtime would really accomodate with Palm handheld's limited memory/cpu.

Ditto. I've used GNUStep for a while as well as Cocoa on the Apple and I always wished ObjC was available for Palm. I once tried to port Squeak to Palm but, despite having both Guzdials books, with detailed information on the object headers it just seemed like a massive project to make it all work. Sometimes I get sad feelings like when the seg:offset on Intel used to bring me down all the time...OS5 might be viable though.

What's PocketSmalltalk like these days? Last I looked it (1.64a?) it was 'usable' but still a little flaky. Anybody fancy doinga joint ST for Palm from the ground up?

Sean Charles.
