I recently got a Tungsten T, and this lovely Device inspired the following idea: I would like to create a surveillance application based on sound. This means the application shall regularly access the built in microphone, check for noise, and in case of noise save records of some 20 seconds of it.
I see 2 Options to achieve this: My application could either use the built in "voice memo" function (if one can control it by the means of a specific launch code and SysAppLaunch(...)). My application would process the voice memos afterwards (decide to delete or keep them) Or the application would have direct access to the microphone. Does anybody know which way could succeed? Is there any documentation on the Palm site? (I found nothing...)
