Viren, I'm confused by what motivates you to write about the Metrowerks and PalmSource relationship in this manner. I can assure you that Metrowerks enjoys no particular advantage nor does PalmSource withhold information about the formats from any vendor who wishes to support the platform. Palm chose Metrowerks to distribute their SDKs in 1997 because it made sense--Metrowerks had the tools Palm was using to create the OS and Metrowerks had distribution channels in place for selling developer tools. Metrowerks has had no exclusive rights to the SDKs, either then or now.
