I thought something like that may be the solution early on, but I had hoped there was an official specification managed by Palm that would be updated when appropriate.
Nope. The Palm OS 4 source code is also a good reference, if you've signed a NDA with PalmSource to get this info. There are functions that interpret all the resources and turn them into in-memory objects.
